This artwork embodies the allure of Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of Love and Passion. The circle within the piece serves a dual purpose: it echoes the planet Venus, symbolic of her essence—fiery, ablaze with potent desires, its textures undulating with unrestrained abandon. Additionally, the circle embodies the artist’s interpretation of love as all- encompassing, multidirectional, and limitless in its potential. The deep Prussian blue backdrop provides a striking contrast to the metallic copper centre, which symbolises Aphrodite and her boundless capacity for love and passion. This synergy evokes the complementary colours of orange and blue, presented here in a more opulent and luxurious form, accentuating the essence of the artwork and the deity it represents.
